WhatsApp for Agencies Running a Few Client Numbers

An agency that runs WhatsApp for a few clients can give each client their own Chirpoo workspace, with its own number, contacts and logins, so nothing is mixed. Each workspace costs ₹999 a month, excluding 18% GST. For many clients under one roof, WhaBuzz is the better fit.

#Why does Chirpoo suit an agency with a few clients?

Chirpoo is organised per workspace. A workspace holds one business: its WhatsApp numbers, contacts, templates, flows, broadcasts and team logins. Chirpoo does not mix clients inside one workspace, and that is a feature. Contacts and chats of one client never sit beside another client's.

So the pattern is simple. Create one workspace for each client. Connect that client's number. Add your account manager and the client's own staff as logins. Five logins are included in each workspace, and an extra login is ₹250 a month.

Each client's WhatsApp number stays theirs. It sits on their Meta account, and they pay Meta directly. As Meta's documentation says about Tech Provider setups, which is the model Chirpoo runs on through WhaBuzz:

Instead, clients onboarded by Tech Providers must provide their own payment method after onboarding is complete.

That helps you. You never carry a client's message bill on your card, and you never mark up Meta's charges. If the client leaves, the number goes with them.

#What does it cost across a few clients?

Count it per workspace. Chirpoo is ₹999 a month, excluding 18% GST, per workspace. It includes one WhatsApp number and five team logins. Chirpoo Commerce is ₹1,499 a month for a client on Shopify who wants order updates, COD confirmation and cart reminders.

Extra numbers are ₹250 a month each, so a client with a sales number and a support number pays ₹1,249 for Chirpoo with the second number. An extra login is also ₹250.

Who pays is your call. You can buy the plans and include them in your retainer. You can also have each client subscribe themselves, which keeps the invoice with the business that owns the number. Billing is in rupees by invoice link, with no auto-debit, so nothing is charged without a link being paid. Every plan has a 14-day trial with every feature and no card, which lets you set up a pilot before you quote.

Meta's message charges sit outside all of this and go from each client's Meta account to Meta.

#What does a client workspace give you to sell?

A workspace is a whole service you can offer without building anything:

  • A shared inbox with assignment, internal notes, snooze and the reply window on every chat.
  • Templates drafted by AI from a one-line description and written to Meta's rules.
  • No-code flows that start on a new message, a tag, an ad click or a Shopify order, with a test run and shadow mode.
  • Broadcasts to opted-in contacts picked by tag, with automatic follow-up to non-readers.
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ad attribution, which helps if you also run the client's ads.
  • An AI agent that is off until you switch it on, never sends offers and hands over to a human.
  • An API with signed webhooks and an MCP server, for agencies with a developer.

For a client with ads, the attribution alone is a reporting line: the ad's headline and link are saved on the contact, and you can see the orders that followed. See click-to-WhatsApp ad attribution and the shared inbox guide. For handing the inbox to a client's staff, read running a WhatsApp inbox with a team.

#When does an agency add WhaBuzz?

Chirpoo gives each client a clean workspace their own staff can run. When you want to build your own product across many clients, with one API over all of them, add WhaBuzz. WhaBuzz is the gateway Chirpoo runs on. It is an API for builders, where an account holds many numbers and clients, and developer depth lives there.

The WhaLeads README, the open-source code under Chirpoo, points the same way. It says "One number, one team, self-hosted: WhaLeads. Many numbers or many clients: use WhaBuzz directly."

A practical rule: up to a handful of clients who each want an inbox their own staff can use, use a Chirpoo workspace per client. When you are running dozens of numbers and building your own product on top, talk to WhaBuzz. You can also mix: start clients on Chirpoo and keep WhaBuzz for the ones that grow into custom work. Read self-host WhaLeads vs Chirpoo for the open-source side.

#How do you onboard a client in a day?

  1. Ask the client for access to their Meta Business account, or have them connect the number themselves with an email-code sign-in.
  2. Create their workspace and start the trial.
  3. Connect the number. If it is on the free WhatsApp Business app, read moving from the WhatsApp Business app first.
  4. Connect the client's Shopify store so contacts and consent sync, or let contacts arrive as customers message in.
  5. Add their staff as logins, plus yours.
  6. Build one flow and one broadcast template, and test them before they go live.
  7. Show the client the inbox on their phone, installed to the Home Screen.

Keep a written note of who owns what: the number, the Meta account, the workspace. For the bigger picture, see the shared WhatsApp inbox guide and multiple WhatsApp numbers in one inbox.

Frequently asked questions about Chirpoo and this topic

Can one Chirpoo login see several clients?

Chirpoo is organised per workspace, with one business in each. Give each client their own workspace, number and logins. It is not built as a single console across many client workspaces, so for that use case look at WhaBuzz.

How much does each client cost?

Each workspace is ₹999 a month, excluding 18% GST, with one number and five logins. A client on Shopify who wants the store messages takes Commerce at ₹1,499. Extra numbers and logins are ₹250 a month each.

Who pays Meta for each client's messages?

Each client pays Meta directly from their own Meta account. Chirpoo adds nothing per message and never bills for messages, and you do not carry the message bill or mark it up.

Can I white-label Chirpoo for my clients?

White-labelling is not among the features Chirpoo lists, so plan on clients signing in to Chirpoo under its own name. If you need your own branding across many clients, ask WhaBuzz about building on its API.
